Hyphen leaders join senior Saudi officials at special Riyadh event to mark Regional Headquarters Program
Two of Hyphen’s senior leadership team yesterday joined senior Saudi officials and global business chiefs at a high-profile Regional Headquarters (RHQ) Program event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Co-Founder Avinash Nandakumar and Pietro Vecchiato, our Vice-President of Client Partnerships, represented the company at the KAFD Conference Center event as hundreds of multinational businesses in the RHQ Program came together with key national figures to discuss life and opportunities in the Kingdom.
His Excellency (HE) Khalid Al Falih, Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Investment; HE Yousef Al-Benyan, Minister for Education; and HE Ibrahim Alsultan, acting CEO of the Royal Commission of Riyadh City (RCRC), all spoke at the event. Corporate leaders from a range of different industries also shared their success stories in a series of interesting and informative sessions.
Yesterday’s event, which was organised by Invest Saudi, came a week and a half after we announced the opening of our business hub in the Kingdom. At the end of a packed schedule, Avinash and Pietro networked with representatives from other multinational organisations that have joined the RHQ Program and explored potential opportunities for future collaborations.
Avinash, who is also the General Manager of our new Saudi base, said: “I am delighted to mark our landmark decision to open our regional headquarters in Riyadh by joining such a diverse and reputable list of business leaders for this event.
“Establishing this base marks the completion of a long-held goal for us and gives us a platform to make an even greater impact in the Kingdom and the wider GCC region. It is clear that many other leading organisations see the same potential and we look forward to exploring opportunities to work together and maximise the potential of Saudi Arabia.
“I would like to thank Invest Saudi, the MISA and RCRC for organising this memorable event and the speakers for sharing their insights, and it was fantastic to meet so many interesting individuals.”
The move to establish our regional headquarters in Riyadh formalises our long-established relationship with leaders in Saudi Arabia, its government departments and the wider business community. Avinash and Pietro are just two members of our senior leadership team with more than a decade of experience working in the Kingdom, giving them a keen understanding of the changes underway across the country.
Speaking after the event, Avi pointed to the grand scale and scope of the country’s Vision 2030 programme and the ongoing government reform agenda as a key reason for choosing KSA as the site of Hyphen’s fourth global office. He also believes our service offering, combined with the advantages of this regional headquarters and accompanying licence, could bring clients real benefits.
He said: “I speak for everyone at Hyphen when I say that we look forward to working closely with our new and existing partners to have a real impact here. I am proud of what we have already achieved in our various engagements across the country and we are all excited by the potential and ambition here. I cannot wait to get involved with more of the incredible work already going on to help the Kingdom realise its grand vision.”
Pietro also noted: “As many major projects are now moving from design to execution, we are excited to be a partner in the country’s development. The experienced and specialised professionals we engage bring in bespoke capabilities and produce tangible results to support the realisation of Vision 2030, across economic sectors and topics.”
