Hyphen opens new office in Qatar to expand Middle East ambitions

17.10.2024

Hyphen is proud to announce the opening of our new office in Qatar, expanding our presence in the Middle East.

This new Doha office reinforces our commitment to Qatar and the wider region, will enhance the service we provide to existing clients, and explore new commercial opportunities and more strategic partnerships.

Having a permanent presence in the country will also enable us to develop closer relationships with Qatari organisations, streamline our operations, and provide greater support to foreign contractors involved in key projects.

With a strong reputation as a leading external expertise provider, we are extending our reach into the country as leaders work to implement its NDS3 strategy and move towards achieving the Qatar National Vision 2030. Hyphen’s model of deploying cross-functional teams of technical experts and experienced consultants is ideal for ensuring the delivery of the national development strategy’s ambitious modernisation, urbanisation and socioeconomic initiatives.

Two of our Co-Founders, Michael Savolainen and Dr Erhan Ermis, will work on developing and overseeing our client partnerships in Qatar

“Qatar’s status as one of the most influential and ambitious countries in the Middle East makes it the ideal place for Hyphen to establish a new office,” said Michael Savolainen. “Our value proposition fits well with the country’s economic plans, and this new base strengthens our ability to partner with leading businesses and government organisations to deliver on these plans and contribute to Qatar’s long-term prosperity.”

Hyphen now operates five global offices, with three in the Middle East. We established a regional headquarters in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, earlier this year and have a long-established base in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and have European offices in London, United Kingdom, and Lucerne, Switzerland.

“Since our inception, the Middle East has been a key focus. Opening our third regional office reaffirms our belief in the region’s potential,” added Dr Erhan Ermis. “This permanent Qatar office allows us to engage more deeply with local organisations and helps contractors access new opportunities in the emirate. It’s a win-win for all parties.”
