Time for Chronos: Hyphen unveils innovative timekeeping, invoicing and expenses solution
Hyphen is excited to introduce Chronos, a cutting-edge timekeeping, invoicing, and expense management solution for independent professionals.
Time-saving features combined with sleek design and easy-to-use functionality mean the application will serve as a one-stop shop, enabling users to complete key admin tasks with ease.

- An auto-generation feature that enables users to produce invoices and expense summaries in seconds with the input of just a few personal details.
- A digital receipt portal that eliminates the need for paper receipts, with photos and PDFs able to be added in a few clicks.
- Bulk entry allows users to submit timesheets for multiple days while only inputting details once.
- ‘Rollover processing’ that can replicate details from previous timesheets in new versions, saving time spent on manually typing and repeating information.
- Auto-submit functionality means that users can prepare their month-end financial documents while on the go and offline, with any information immediately uploaded once they reconnect to the internet.
- Customisable profiles enable users to add information about their working patterns.
- A document hub that stores all previous submissions in one place for easy review and download as well as indicating the status of each month’s filing.

Chronos is now being rolled out for engaged contractors. Professionals who sign up to partner with Hyphen on future projects will also be invited to use the platform. The Hyphen team is on hand to offer personalised assistance and will gladly receive user feedback that could lead to further improvements.
The platform is the work of the ‘Hyphen of the Future’ working group, which came together to build new digital tool suited to the needs of the modern independent professional, with a focus on simplicity and flexibility. The application has been tested internally for two months ahead of the general release, while several engaged professional partners have provided feedback during a live beta testing period.
As well as helping contractors save time during the month-end filing process, Chronos will also help improve internal processes by promoting consistency in terms of the documentation received from across our network.
The development of Chronos came as the Hyphen team sought to harness the customary combination of adaptability, cross-functional collaboration and the human touch together in an HR and finance tool that would give professionals a better working experience. Members of the Technology and Design teams have weighed in heavily on the creation, which has been designed to give users simplicity, flexibility and control that they crave.
