Güneş Aydoğan becomes our new Head of Strategic Business Development

12.07.2023

Hyphen is pleased to announce the arrival of Güneş Aydoğan, who will be our Head of Strategic Business Development.

Bolstering an increasingly busy department as we expand into new markets, Güneş will work closely with our Vice-Presidents of Client Partnerships, Akin Akbiyik and Pietro Vecchiato, and one of our co-founders, Dr Erhan Ermis. Güneş will also oversee junior members of our A-team as we continue our push to provide more clients with the best possible engagement experience.

We have scaled up our business development efforts in 2023 – Akin, Dr Heinz Pley, Eleah Ketting and Lilas El Moughrabi have also joined the team – and Güneş’ role will be a very important one. As well as adding capacity, he will drive opportunities for growth revenue generation and will help to establish long-term partnerships with key clients around the globe.

More specifically, Güneş will construct our business development growth plan looking at different sectors, engagement types and markets; and streamline our operations to ensure all work is done as efficiently as possible, while also working on client-facing activities.

“I am very excited to join Hyphen and am really looking forward to starting here. The business has made huge steps in such a short time and I am confident this company has the potential to become far, far bigger,” said Güneş, who is our 10th new recruit of the year.

“The ongoing expansion into new markets presents us with a host of opportunities. The prospect of taking a real leadership role with Hyphen at a crucial point in the company’s development was too good to turn down and I can’t wait to work with our team and our clients.”

Based in Turkey, Güneş joins Hyphen from Mastercard Data and Services. There, he worked his way up to the role of Data Strategy Director, EEMEA Regional Lead during his seven years with the professional services business.

For the first six years of that stint, he was a strategy consultant for the Advisors Consulting arm. This saw him take an active role in financial projects covering more than 10 countries in the EMEA region. In addition to his work on financial information, he also managed data engagements with some of the region’s largest merchants, spanning several different verticals.

Prior to his time with Mastercard, Güneş earned a degree in business administration at Turkey’s Middle East Technical University. He also completed a one-year exchange programme at Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands.

Welcome to Hyphen, Güneş!
