Two of our Client Partnerships team built and strengthened business relationships during a trip to the world’s most attended tech event, dubbed the ‘Digital Davos’. 

Vice-President of Client Partnerships Akin Akbiyik and Güneş Aydoğan, our Head of Strategic Development, met with business leaders, tech innovators and global entrepreneurs, and attended talks during LEAP. 

The event, held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, featured speeches from senior political figures in the Kingdom as well as C-suite figureheads from some of the world’s largest multinational companies. LEAP claims to feature more than 1,100 guest speakers and 1,800 tech exhibitors and last year attracted more than 172,000 visitors over four days. 

For Akin and Güneş, it was the perfect opportunity to discuss opportunities with several clients that also sent representatives to the glitzy innovation super-event. They also took the chance to meet with members of our network of professionals and explore ways that they can contribute to the success of projects around the globe. 

As well as the networking opportunities, our two representatives also took in several talks that centred on new technologies, their applications and ethical considerations. The array of future-focused topics ranged from biotech and autonomous vehicles up to space exploration and cutting-edge AI advances, with a myriad of speakers sharing their insights from their respective areas of excellence. 

Those leading the discussions included high-ranking government officials, leaders from both startups and tech behemoths, investors and creatively minded artists, bringing a diverse range of perspectives to proceedings. 

These talks go hand in hand with some of our own tech-related advances. As well as our own internal technology developments, we are helping branches of government build their AI governance and innovation capabilities, aiding clients in optimising data utilisation, and reshaping the way our partners develop tech-inclusive education systems.
