Hyphen sets sights on growth by prioritising across key regions and industries in 2025

New year, new us – to some extent at least. Our team has been strategising and formulating plans to give our clients and professional partners the best experiences possible during 2025. That also means looking for new opportunities to bring the benefits of cross-functional teams to organisations looking for practical solutions to their biggest business challenges.
Last year saw us foster relationships with stakeholders from all over the world and that is not going to change heading into the new year. So, what is the plan for 2025 then? Here, we answer some of the questions concerning our key business priorities.
Where: Geographic expansion
The Middle East remains a central focus for us. We have built strong relationships and possess detailed knowledge of the entire region; what’s more, we have also established a physical presence with offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with the latter two opening last year.
Our plan therefore is to continue to exemplify our commitment to the GCC region by continuing to seek our opportunities to work with organisations keen to realise the enormous potential of this market. This means building on momentum and continuing to deliver tailored solutions that address the unique challenges of these markets.
However, we are not beholden to building our business in one region. Last year, we collaborated on projects across other continents and regions, with work taking place in Africa, Europe and North America. The concept of cross-functional teams has proven successful beyond borders and we will continue to explore opportunities for growth in new locales.
One emerging market that we are particularly excited to work in is Azerbaijan and we have already made inroads in this high-potential country. Colleagues in our Client Partnerships team will carefully monitor opportunities there and look to build further connections with the republic.
What: Industry priorities
One of the strengths of our approach is the fact that any organisation in any industry can benefit from adding technical expertise and practical knowledge. However, our team also possesses plenty of subject-specific knowledge, while our Client Partnerships team is particularly interested to continue exploring opportunities in several key sectors.
Last year, we contributed to projects focusing on real estate development, construction and mining, and we will continue support more clients in navigating complex projects, from initial planning to delivery in this field. In policy development and implementation, we will assist governments and organisations in crafting policies that drive sustainable outcomes. Supply chain optimisation is another area in which we will look to contribute by helping clients enhance resilience and streamline operations in an era of global uncertainty.
We will also focus on addressing the growing need for cybersecurity measures as organisations face an ever-evolving threat landscape. In the areas of data, technology, and fintech, we will deliver strategic guidance to businesses leveraging technology to innovate and grow.
We also see significant potential in partnering with banks and other financial institutions, as we did last year, as reflected by our contributions to major events as well as our case studies. We will look to integrate and scale fintech capabilities that meet the needs of a digital-first economy for our clients. Furthermore, we will work with governments to establish environments that attract and nurture startup ecosystems, driving innovation and economic growth.
Finally, we will also look to build on our existing expertise in the fields of media, entertainment and gaming, and contribute to more large-capital, large-scale megaprojects that can have transformative impacts.
Why: A strategic path forward
Our approach to business development in 2025 is grounded in our commitment to delivering practical solutions by providing tailored expertise, cross-functional teams and practical know-how. This means we will continue to provide independent professionals, interim management and project delivery services to clients looking for external expertise.
We are also looking to help our clients and contribute to their success in other ways, however. Scoped engagements and training services will also be offerings that we will provide this year, with more details on those to come in the coming weeks.
