Michael Savolainen

Michael leads Hyphen’s work with Public Sector and Consulting Clients in Europe and North America. He also heads Hyphen internal recruitment efforts as well as developing Hyphen’s long term product offering, often in cooperation with selected start-ups. He is based in Belgium.

For eight years he worked with The Boston Consulting Group around the globe, managing strategic projects in the Public Sector, Financial Institutions, Industrial Goods and Insurance sectors. Prior to that he was with the Crisis Management Initiative, a leading peace mediation NGO, and worked at the United Nations Headquarters. He obtained an MBA (distinction) from Columbia University. Michael has held multiple commanding positions in the Swiss Armed Forces and still serves as a General Staff Officer with the Armoured Troops.
